Geriatrics is the process of aging, the process of growing old. Aging is a natural process which can go take a long walk off a short pier.
We can’t stop aging but we can make aging better and slow it down! Aging is not a disease and there will never be a cure. To understand how to slow down our aging processes means learning more about the process itself.

Geriatrics – medical care for older adults
Older adults have special healthcare needs that can make their medical care even more complicated. More than half of adults age 65 and older have several medical problems, such as Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, diabetes, heart disease or hypertension (high blood pressure).
Caring for older people with multiple health problems can be complex, even for healthcare professionals specialized in GERIATRICS. A drug that might be useful in treating one health problem can make another problem worse. Furthermore taking multiple medications can cause side effects as well as problematic drug interactions.
